Zianos in Ft Wayne, Indiana review

For New Years this year, we decided to go out with a long time acquaintance couple of ours. We usually don't fight crowds on New Years, or traffic for that matter, but we ventured out anyways.

Our first choice was Texas Road House, but since 3 of our phones lied to us, leading us to the wrong location, we opted to see what was in the area. We spotted a Chops, but was told that they were completely booked up for the evening.

Jim suggested Zianos, a local Itialian eatery. I had seen the low budget commercials on TV, but at 8:00 at night, I was open to anything at this point. There was one located just off the road we were traveling on.

My hubby and I tried a few wine samples, but I find that the more wine I try, the more particular I become about which ones I want to spend money on for dinner.
I opted out.  My hubby is not a picky as I am though.

We placed an couple orders of bread sticks. Oh my! We were in for a treat! They are not kidding when they claim how famous they are! They literally melt in your mouth! Some of the best yeast bread I have ever had!

The atmosphere at Zianos was a bit brass for me. The tables are very crowded into one room with no noise dividers. It was difficult to converse over people. I would love to see them expand into a much larger space with walls. The waitress was caring and did an exceptional job though.

I ordered the Shrimp Pesto Alfredo. This dish was very good and a bit more healthy than the straight Shrimp Alfredo.

My hubby opted for the pizza.

Overall, I give Zianos a ****4 out of 5 dinner star rating. I would go back again sometime, but perhaps at lunchtime when it's not so busy and loud.
